The Shaneyfelt is a completely custom plan conceived of by a couple who love history and wanted to create a log home that looked as if it was from the early days of Tennessee’s settlement. The two-story plan incorporates the elements found in historic cabins but presents them with modern convenience.
The home is entered through a wide, full-length covered front porch or a cozy covered side porch enveloped into the L-shaped layout.
Downstairs is a great room with a cathedral ceiling and fireplace to the left of the front entrance foyer. To the left of the foyer is a master suite with a luxury bath and a walk-in closet. At the end of the foyer, the dining room and kitchen flow together into one welcoming space.
A large laundry room with room for completing projects and hanging outdoor clothing sits just off the kitchen and connects the main house with a two-car attached garage.
Upstairs are three guest rooms and a full bath. The staircase landing has room for a sitting area and small library.
