Honest Abe Living’s April 2019 issue introduces Cooper & Co., a new interior design service created by Honest Abe Log Homes. Read about how interior designer Molly Cooper helps Honest Abe customers create the look and feel they’ve dreamed about for their new log or timber frame home. In the “Log Home Tips” section, Molly explains what an interior designer does, and she shares one of her family’s favorite recipes in the “Cooking with Cooper & Co.” feature. In another article, a seasoned log home sales representative discusses strategies for planning a budget for building a wood home.This month’s featured home was designed and built by one of Honest Abe’s longtime Independent Dealers in Virginia for his own house to accommodate his big-game hunting passion.A video/drone tour explores the house, grounds and outdoor living areas of an expansive Honest Abe Log Home on Tennessee’s Old Hickory Lake.Our featured floor plan is The Coolsprings, a 1,457-square-foot plan designed for customers who are interested in downsizing into a cozy log or timber frame home for their forever home. Details are provided for the June 1 Log Raising to be held at Honest Abe’s National Headquarters in Moss. This event will include a tour of a new 10” Round log home that incorporates both log and timber frame elements. For Honest Abe’s ongoing celebration of its 40th anniversary in 2019, the company’s first President, Rick Denton, recalls how the relationship between Perma-Chink Systems and Honest Abe Log Homes developed across four decades.
