Well-Used Space is Benefit of Waverly Plan
The Waverly may be a small home plan, but it offers a lot in terms of design and use of space. The three-quarter covered wrap porch surrounding the great room on the front and the full-length covered back porch expand the living space of the two-tory, 1,344-square-foot plan.
The great room has a cathedral ceiling with a heavy timber roof system. The kitchen has bar that accommodates four and a walk-in pantry. The dining area is separate. The mudroom contains the laundry and a closeted powder room. Upstairs are to bedrooms and a full bath. Three closets and a linen closet create ample storage areas.
Though the plan can be executed as a log, timber or hybrid home, it was envisioned to encompass elements of several styles and use a variety of materials like log, timbers, stone and wood shakes.
