Miller Home on Lake Malone Enjoyed Every Season
Jim and Kathy Miller moved into their new Honest Abe Log Homes custom designed cabin in midsummer 2020, finally achieving their longtime goal of enjoying lake life in every season, not just summer.
“We are originally from Ohio and are a family of water babies,” says Kathy Malone. “Our three kids grew up swimming, fishing, water skiing and tubing during the day and around campfires at night. We love the simple life and just being together. We built this place to share it with those we love. In summer the clan comes to the cabin to celebrate life and being together. Living at the cabin has been the reward at the end of our hard work. We get to live in paradise.”
They chose Honest Abe Log Homes to design and manufacture their lakeside home on Kentucky’s Lake Malone. The Millers shared some snapshots of their cabin and discussed with Honest Abe how they finalized their design and tapped their craftsmanship to create a distinctive home.
The Miller home features handmade furniture and architectural details, repurposed antiques and nautical appointments.
