Open Greatroom

The 2,396-square-foot Busch plan was created by Honest Abe homeowners to serve their needs for many years to come.
The couple is sharing their plan with Honest Abe customers who desire a home with all the living space on one floor. The home is entered straight into the great room from an inset covered porch. The great room has a vaulted ceiling. It flows into the dining area in the rear that is open to the kitchen. The kitchen has a work island with bar seating and a walk-in pantry. The master bedroom suite with a walk-in closet and master bath off the dining room is its own “wing.”
On the opposite side of the great room is a second bedroom with a full bath immediately adjacent. That region of the home contains a large laundry, storage and work area, including cabinets and a double sink through which the three-car garage is accessed. A third bedroom with a walk-in closet at the end of the deck can be converted to an office. On the second floor a 15×21 foot loft overlooks the great room.
