Honest Abe Log Homes Wins National Design Awards

Honest Abe Log Homes has received two national first place awards for home design.

“Both homes recognized were conceived of by the homeowners, then designed, manufactured and built by Honest Abe Log Homes,” said Josh Beasley, president of Honest Abe Log Homes. “National recognition of these home in particular demonstrates how the creativity of our customers coupled with the technical expertise of our team often results in a spectacular home.”

Top honors were awarded in two separate categories of the 2019 Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Home Design presented by the National Association of Home Builders Building Systems Councils at their annual conference held last month in Knoxville, Tennessee. Beasley explained that the intensely competitive nominations are judged by an independent panel of industry experts.

“Systems-built technology is the building of the future, and these awards represent what is possible for potential systems-built home owners,” Beasley said.

Winning first place in design for homes between 2,001-2,900 square feet is a timber frame home with D-log siding owned by Priscilla Epps and finance James Head.

“Our Honest Abe Home is a blend of rustic country with some modern elements and sleek clean lines,” Priscilla said. “We chose the cabin style to give the home a cozy feel, but we did not want the style to be overly rustic and country. The feel and look turned out perfect.”

First place for homes between 3,001-3,900 square feet is The Southern Grace owned by Nick and April Patterson.

“When Southern plantation meets industrial elegance, you will get a home unlike any other,” April said. “Our 10” round log home is the first of its kind offered through Honest Abe.”
