On Sat., Oct. 28, 2019, 135 participants and other supporters gathered at Dale Hollow Dam Campground and ran or walked for a cure. The course was a nice flat course through the beautiful campground and walking trail just below Dale Hollow Dam. The runners and walkers enjoyed the scenery while helping raise money in honor of our founder Doug Smith who passed away due to cancer in 2011. We were thrilled with the turnout and loved seeing all the familiar faces on the course.
Donations came in from some of our  businesses suppliers including, Perma Chink, Pella, Paul Peebles with Sashco and Green River Windows and Doors.
We also had some local businesses  donate as well, including Farm Bureau Insurance, Happy Sak, Obey River Market, Citizens Bank all out of Celina, Tenn., and finally T&S Parts Locators. Also, water was donated by the great folks at Celina Lumber Company.
“We had a great turnout to raise money for cancer awareness and research,” said April Smith Patterson, co-owner of the The Smith Family Businesses. “We thank everyone who participated and donated from the bottom of our hearts and we are pleased to say we are going to be able to donate more than $2,000.”
